About the Journal

Aims and Scope

The Open Nanomedicine and Nanotechnology Journal is a peer-reviewed Open Access online journal, which aims to rapidly publish original, scientific research articles, full-length and mini-reviews, letter articles and guest edited single topic issues on the advances in the field of nanomedicine. The publication focus is on new advances in the medical applications of nanoscience and nanotechnology. The following categories of scientific papers are considered for publication after peer-review:

  • Communications and Short Notes -Preliminary results with significant importance.
  • Research Articles Full Papers - Detailed research data.
  • Reviews / Mini-reviews - A comprehensive survey.

Brief Biography

Victor-Manuel Castano-Meneses holds BSc, MSc and PhD in Physics from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, where he is a Full-Professor at the Centro de Fisica Aplicada y Tecnologia Avanzada. He spent 2 years as a Postdoctoral Fellow at IBM´s Yorktown Heights Research Center and has authored and co-authored over 600 peer-reviewer papers in international journals. Prof. Castano is one of the most cited latinamerican scientists in his field and has advised over 60 PhD thesis and numerous BSc and MSc disertations. He also holds more than 20 patents and has been able to effectively transfer nanotechnology knowledge from the lab to the industry.
